Up to 3 in Rounds 1–5 if requested at least 1 hour before round (before Rd. 2 for any Rd. 4–5 bye), but at most one ½-point bye in Rds. 4–5. No ½-point byes available to any UMBC team prospect. |

* USCF membership required. May purchase at site at current rates, which are approximately $46 adult, $24 scholastic.
** Unrated players may not win more than $250 in U1800 section.
Any UMBC student who wishes to qualify for any of the three UMBC Chess Teams
for the 2016–2017 academic year must play in the Open Section of the UMBC Championship.
Directions to UMBC: Take Exit 47B off I-95 and follow signs to UMBC. Park in Commons Drive garage.
