  • This tournament is US Chess rated
    • All US Chess rules and regulations apply
    • ALL players must have a US-Chess Membership
      • To compete in this US-Chess-rated tournament, a player must have a US-Chess membership that is current (not yet expired).
      • If a player has ever been a US-Chess member, then the player has a permanent US-Chess ID # that must be entered during tournament registration: player's US-Chess ID # and membership expiration date.
      • A player who lacks a current US-Chess membership is ineligible to play
      • If you do not have one: apply at https://secure2.uschess.org/webstore/member.php Or go to the US Chess membership website and follow instructions
  • ALL players in grades 4-12 are required to notate their games, K-3 players are not required to notate but it is highly encouraged as a method of preventing cheating
  • Players are allowed to attend either section: under 600 or open
The only limitation is players rated over 600 by the US Chess Federation cannot enter the under 600 section. ANY player rated under 600 or unrated can attend either section, for example, an unrated player who believes their strength is above 600 and wishes to compete in a tougher section.
  • Touch move and touch take rules do apply
  • A player showing up 25 minutes late to a game will be forfeited and disqualified from playing in the rest of the tournament
  • NOT a knockout tournament, all players will play all 4 rounds
  • Notify any tournament director if you wish to withdraw, do not just leave with no notice because the next round you will be paired in the system and someone will be left bored sitting for 25 minutes
  • How Trophies are Awarded
  • Electronic Device Policy
  • NO PARENTS OR COACHES allowed in the tournament room
