Starting times of rounds:
Round 1: 9:30 AM
Round 2: 10:30 AM
Round 3: 11:45 AM
Round 4: 12:45 PM
Awards Ceremony: As soon as last round finishes
Please come at least 20 minutes before the start of the first round for announcements
Time control for every round: 25 minutes with a 5-second increment
Please bring your own boards and pieces (not enough are provided)
Please bring a chess clock if you have one
2 sections: Under 600 and Open
Trophies for top 5 players in each section
$15 by March 4
$20 by March 7
$50 at the door, by 9:00 AM if space is available
- This tournament is US Chess rated
- All US Chess rules and regulations apply
- ALL players must have a US-Chess Membership
- To compete in this US-Chess-rated tournament, a player must have a US-Chess membership that is current (not yet expired).
- If a player has ever been a US-Chess member, then the player has a permanent US-Chess ID # that must be entered during tournament registration: player's US-Chess ID # and membership expiration date.
- A player who lacks a current US-Chess membership is ineligible to play

- ALL players in the Open Section are required to notate their games, Under 600 players are not required to notate but it is highly encouraged as a method of preventing cheating and for learning
- Players are allowed to attend either section: under 600 or open
The only limitation is players rated over 600 by the US Chess Federation cannot enter the under 600 section. - A player showing up 25 minutes late to a game will be forfeited and disqualified from playing in the rest of the tournament
- NOT a knockout tournament, all players will play all 4 rounds
- Notify any tournament director if you wish to withdraw
