Please note that the hotel offers FREE parking during the day and a FREE shuttle to/from the terminals every 15 mins. It is conveniently located on the Silver line Metro station. Players can also use Washington Dulles Airport road (NO TOLL) to reach the venue.

Sections: Open and K-12.
Players of any age can play in the Open section. Only K-12 students can play in the K-12 section.
Rounds: 4 Rounds Swiss
Prizes:
K-12: Every participant gets a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.
Open: Open section has guaranteed cash prizes- 1st prize $150, 2nd prize $100
Schedule: The first round starts at 10:00 AM and subsequent rounds occur as soon as possible.

Byes:
Limit one half-point bye. Bye must be committed 1 hr before Round 1 (9:00 AM on July 4)
Time Control: All games are G/30;d5
Forfeit Time: 30 minutes
Entry Fee: $40 by 06/15, $45 by 06/30, $55 on or after 07/01 (on-site registration closes 30 minutes before round 1)
All entry fee deadlines are in EST. Please select the correct entry fee option for your section while registering. Withdrawals are subject to a $10 processing fee. Full credit can be used for any future ACA tournament.
This tournament is USCF-rated.
Optional: Please enter your contact number in the Comments/Bye Requests text area while registering. This helps us to reach you if necessary. Please remember forfeit time is 30 minutes.
Boards and pieces will be provided. Please bring a pen to write and a chess clock if you have it. Players must know how to set up their own clock.
Electronic Notation Devices approved by the US Chess Federation are allowed in the scholastic section ONLY. Strict policy in place for cell phones and all other electronic devices.
