Tournament Information:

• 6 round Swiss tournament.
• US Chess regular and quick rated. Time control: Game in 45 minutes with a 5-second delay.
• Saturday, July 25th through Sunday, July 26th (Saturday-only and Sunday-only discounted options available as well)
• Round times (six rounds): Saturday at 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm, Sunday at 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm
• Entry fee: $46 for full tournament/$26 for single-day option on or before Wednesday 7/15, $50 for full tournament/$30 for single-day option on or before Wednesday 7/22, $55 for full tournament/$35 for single-day option on or before Friday 7/24, $60 for full tournament/$40 for single-day option on or after Saturday 7/25 (on-site registration is allowed, registration closes 20 minutes prior to games starting).
  • Free entry to players over 2200 (early entry deducted from prizes--please email to register).
• Two Sections: Open (minimum 1400 rating to play) and Under 1600.
• Note: In order to play in the open section, players must have a US Chess rating of at least 1400. Players rated between 1400 and 1599 can play in either section. Players under 1400 should play in the Under 1600 section. A player can still join the open section if their unpublished (live) rating is over 1400, even if their monthly rating isn't 1400 yet. The tournament director may decide to have a lower rated player join the open section to maintain an even number of players in the section.
• PRIZES:
  Open section: $200 for 1st, $75 for top Saturday-only player*, $75 for top Sunday-only player*
  Under 1600 section: $100 for 1st, $75 for top Saturday-only player*, $75 for top Sunday-only player*
  *Note: To win the Saturday only or Sunday only prize, a player must have registered in advance for the one-day option. Players competing on both days aren't eligible for the Saturday only/Sunday only prizes.
• Up to three half-point byes are allowed. Half-point byes can be requested for any round. The deadline to request a half-point bye is prior to the start of round 4.
• We will have enough chess sets for all players, but clocks will not be provided for everyone. If you have a clock, please bring one.
• This tournament is open to everyone (adults and children of any skill level).

Saturday-only and Sunday-only schedules:

If you can't make it for both days, we have discounted entry fees for attending only on one day.  Players may select either "Saturday-only" or "Sunday-only" if not playing on both days. Anyone who signs up for just one day will receive three half-point byes for the missed day. Each section has a Saturday-only and Sunday-only prize which can only be won by one-day players.
