This tournament is a US Chess rated Swiss style tournament for scholastic players in grades K-12. It has eight different sections for players depending on their age and skill. Participants play only against opponents in their own section.

Sections include Grades K-1 (U-400), Grades 2-3 (U-400), Grades 4-5 (U-400), Grades 6-8 (U-400), Grades 9-12 (U-1000), K-8 (400-699), K-8 (700-999), and K-12 Championship (1000+).

The first round is at 1:00pm for all sections. The tournament concludes around 5:00pm with an awards ceremony where the top players and top school receive trophies.

  • Players should arrive at 12:45pm, the first round begins at 1:00pm
  • All sections are non-elimination, and all players participate in all four rounds
  • We provide FREE US Chess Federation memberships and renewals for all participants, a $24 value! If you're not sure what your ID# is you can look it up here
  • We provide chess clocks for all players, the time control is G/25 with a 5-second time delay
